To avoid this, I recommend searching for auctions with a minimum of 1 bid. This ensures that someone else has already vetted the item and determined it is worth at least the minimum asking price.
More than 75% of the live auctions don’t have a single bid and will likely end unsold. Searching for auctions with at least one bid is a great way to avoid combing through these overpriced fixed price items masquerading as auctions.
