eBay required us to move from their legacy API (the system we use to programmatically search eBay) to a newer one. We migrated our entire site to their new API and added a few features for you along the way. It was a huge effort!
Exciting benefits of the update:
- We’ve added an Exact Match Keywords option for searching. Now you can require that your keywords be found in the item titles, or they will be excluded from your search results.
- Looking for items that have successful over the long term? The Listed Long Ago filter now gives you more flexibility, with options for items that are “12 hours and older” to “5 years and older.”
- Want to see only new items? The Newly Listed Within filter now ranges from “listed within the last hour” to “listed within the last 10 years” to give you much more control.
- You can use both Listed Long Ago & Newly Listed Within in the same search, i.e. Newly Listed Within = “2 years” and Listed Long Ago = “1 year and older” will return items listed between 1 and 2 years ago.
- Low-feedback sellers and items with keyword spam in aspect filters are automatically excluded from search results by eBay for Most Watched and Best Match sorts.
- WatchCount will keep working! The old API is being discontinued at the end of June, so staying on it was not an option.
